Building a Stronger Education Relationship
The University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic have established a framework and guidelines for collaborative educational endeavors in the development and delivery of creative new programs and models for healthcare education.
Reciprocal collaborations thrive when there is shared, mutual benefit and the results provide value that is greater than what either organization could attain individually. Accordingly, educational collaborations will benefit each entity and their stakeholders, especially students. Joint activities will be consistent with the goals of each institution and will emphasize shared strategic and tactical interests. The benefits of collaboration will be documented and tracked. While there are benefits and efficiencies to be gained through collaborations, resources can also be contributed fairly by each organization. It is expected that an additional mutual benefit of the collaboration will be enhanced innovation at both institutions that will inspire new ideas, relationships, and funding.
This website describes the process put in place to facilitate the development of new collaborative proposals and the subsequent review and approval procedure required to obtain the required institutional support to develop and implement the proposal. For more information on the proposal development, review, and approval process, please contact the ECC Administration Team.
