The program is fully accredited by A.A.C.S.B. International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only one third of the MBA programs in the United States, and only five in this state, have successfully completed the intense process of AACSB accreditation. The accreditation process examines the competency of the faculty and the processes that are in place to achieve and measure learning goals.

The M.B.A. degree earned from this program is granted by the Regents of the University of Minnesota. The University of Minnesota is nationally and internationally acclaimed, now the second largest land grant research university in the country, and a major driver of the economic engine of the state. In southeast Minnesota, the University's presence is found not only on its downtown Rochester campus, but in partnerships and research occurring across the area. The flagship partnerships are the Hormel Cancer Research Institute, University of Minnesota, located in Austin, MN; and the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics. This partnership between the U and Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester, promotes scientific exploration and research on cancer, neurological diseases, heart disease, gastrointestinal conditions and nanotechnology that could impact a range of diseases.
