Students applying to the MBA program should carefully review and complete these steps:
Complete Foundation Courses:
- Students must have satisfactorily completed the foundation courses in mathematics, statistics, accounting, economics, financial management, marketing, and operations management within 10 years prior to starting the program, OR:
- Have demonstrated proficiency in these areas by taking equivalency tests, OR:
- Have provided documentation on work proficiency and skills which utilize the above competencies, with approval by the MBA Director.
Admission requirements may allow for completion of 2-3 of the above courses after admission to the MBA, but must be completed within 1 year of admission, and before more than 6 credits of MBA coursework are completed.
Complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT®)
- Study preparation for the GMAT® should be undertaken. The GMAT® official web site, www.mba.com, contains information on preparing, lists study guides available for purchase, and provides practice software.
- Median score (540 or better) is required. Exceptions may be allowed with written consent of MBA Director. Grade Point Averages which fall below 3.0 may require higher GMAT® score.
- The GRE® generalist examination may be substituted for the GMAT®, subject to MBA Director review.
- GMAT® requirement may be waived for those who have passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, or comparable professional certifications, subject to MBA Director approval.
