Professional Credentials

Respiratory Care - Man on Bike

There are two credential levels for respiratory therapists based on successful completion of the program and completion of national board exams:

  1. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).  The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Entry-Level Examination can be taken after successful completion of Year Three coursework in the program.
  2. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).  The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) examination can be taken after successful completion of Year Four coursework in the program.
