What is your best college search tip? If at all possible, visit the colleges you are interested in! Seeing the campus, observing a class in session, and talking with students is a great way to see if you “fit” there. If you can’t physically make it to a college, check to see if they have a virtual tour you can do online.
What do you value most about UMR? UMR is incredibly student and learner-focused, which is something that benefits students in numerous ways. The faculty is not only focused on their own field of study, but about how students are going to learn the best. As a growing institution, UMR is always looking for ways to involve students and start new activities based on their interests.

Favorite Rochester restaurant: City Café has some of the best food in town if I want to spend a little more; if I am feeling thriftier I go to Nupa for excellent Greek food!
Favorite thing to do in Rochester: There are so many things to choose from! I love walking my dog on the Douglas Trail, and trying out all of the restaurants that Rochester has to offer. I also really like visiting the historic sites in Rochester like the Mayowood Mansion.
Favorite sports team: The Minnesota Twins.
Favorite quote: “To love what you do and feel that it matters, how could anything be more fun?” – Katherine Graham.
