UMR is integrated into the vibrant community of Rochester, Minnesota, home to one of the world’s top medical centers and at the center of an internationally known research community. The world-renowned Mayo Clinic is located just one block from campus, allowing students access to unique opportunities only available to them in Rochester.

Downtown Rochester offers diverse and independent retail and dining (over 40 places to eat within a mile of campus), beautiful outdoor spaces, and a focus on culture in a relaxing, welcoming environment.
