BSHP Visit Day

Current college students interested in Radiography, Sonography, Echocardiography, or Respiratory Care are invited to visit UMR to learn more about the Bachelor of Science in Health Professions (BSHP), an educational collaboration with Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS).

At the BSHP Visit Day, you will:

  • Learn about the program prerequisites and admission requirements
  • Meet UMR and MSHS faculty and staff
  • Tour the UMR campus and on campus housing
  • Explore your specific track of interest (Respiratory Care, Radiography, Sonography or Echocardiography) at MSHS with program faculty.

A Personalized Individual Visit

Got questions? We’ve got answers! We invite you to schedule an individual visit for a campus tour and a one-on-one conversation with a friendly and knowledgeable admissions representative. These individual visits generally take about 90 minutes and are a great way to learn more about the application process, financial aid, and in-demand career opportunities with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree.

Individual visits are available as schedules allow. We do our best to accommodate individual visits Monday through Friday.

Please register at least one week in advance so that we may customize your visit and meet your requests. If you have any questions please contact the Admissions Office at 1.877.280.4699 or ApplyUMR@umn.edu .

UMR does not offer any weekend campus tours or individual visits.


Skype or Google Video Chat

Can't get to UMR's campus yet? Want to hear more about UMR's health science programs before visiting? Try a Skype or Google Video Visit! You can Skype or Google Video Chat one-on-one with a UMR Admissions Representative Monday-Friday between 9 am and 4:30 pm.

What you will need to do:

  1. Set up a FREE Skype account/username if you do not have one already at www.skype.com.
  2. Call the admissions office at 1-877-280-4699 to set up an appointment and to give us your username.
  3. Use a computer that has sound capabilities and a web camera (optional) and be ready at your appointment time.
  4. Skype name UMRAdmissions will call you through Skype at your appointment time.

OR

  1. If you have a Gmail account, you can set up an appointment to use the Google Video Chat feature with your Admissions representative. Call 1-877-280-4699 to set up an appointment and for additional information.

VIP Day for Admitted Students

VIP Day for Admitted Students will be held in the spring for students accepted to the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree program. Special invitations to this event will be sent to admitted BSHS students in January.
