- Originating department provides ITV orientation for instructors, including:
- Orientation to ITV experience
- Orientation to equipment
- Orientation to effective presentation/instructional standards in a distance learning environment
- Overview of the role and responsibilities of technical support staff, program coordinator
- Provide up-to- date information regarding ITV connections and ITV contacts
- Communicate any technical problems promptly to remote site
- Participate in ITV coordination meetings between distance learning sites prior to the beginning of each semester
- Participate in assessing the quality of ITV twice each semester for each ITV course
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting and technology reference guides (both hardcopy and web based) for the site originating site
- Develop contingency plans for the originating site in the event of ITV system failure
- Plan ITV technology replacement and emerging distance learning technologies
