All students at the U of M are provided with free Internet access and a personal email account. You must activate your U of M email account in order to receive your bill and other pertinent information. This email account is also your link to registering for future courses online. Review the following information and you’ll be on your way!

Read on if you want to learn how to forward your U of M email to a different account.

We realize that you may have an existing personal email account. All correspondences from the University of Minnesota and the College of Education will be directed to your U of M account. If you do not plan to check your U of M email account, you may have your mail forwarded to an existing account. Please note that some email services, i.e. hotmail, yahoo, etc., may automatically move U of M email to a junk mail or deleted mail folder. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are receiving your U of M email, as email is the official form of communication with the University. Follow these directions to forward your email, or contact 1-Help at (612) 301-4357.

You have now set your email to be forwarded to an existing email account. Please note that you will still need to know your U of M Internet ID and password in order to register for classes online.
