Automatically Displaying Events on the UMR Website

There is a way to automate the pulling of specific events from the calendar into the UMR website, so the information doesn't have to be entered twice. If you would like to set this up for your area, please email umrweb@umn.edu for more details.

Important Things to Note

  • Please ensure that the room has been booked and the appropriate procedure has been followed before adding your event to the calendar.
  • It is the responsibility of each individual area to ensure that their events get included on the calendar, and that the information remains accurate.

Should My Event Be Included on the Calendar?

  • The calendar is public, so anything added to it could potentially be seen by a member of the general public. If an event is “top secret”, don’t put it on the calendar! It is fine to include private events if you don’t mind other people in the community knowing that they’re happening.
  • Only include definite events - don’t use the calendar to create “placeholders” for potential events.
  • If in doubt, look at the events calendars for the other campuses to see what events they include.
