Web Update Roles and Responsibilities

Roles

UMR Leadership Team and Director-level Staff have primary responsibility for the content of the UMR website and for providing regular content reviews and updates.

UMR Administrative Support Staff have primary responsibility for supporting the UMR Leadership Team & Directors in the implementation of their web content responsibilities. This may include writing, collecting, consolidating, and/or editing UMR web pages to UMR web standards. Content administrators will also apply the updates to the website, with the assistance of the Webmaster where necessary.

UMR Webmaster has primary responsibility for the structure and navigation of the UMR web site and responsibility for implementing the web page updates provided by the UMR Leadership Team & Directors. This includes editing and formatting the content to conform to established web practices and also scheduling semi-annual UMR web reviews/updates. In addition, the UMR Webmaster provides technical support and guidance for the implementation of web site innovations and improvements.

Responsibilities

The table below contains a listing of UMR web site content owners and content administrators. This listing is consistent with the current Site Map structure of the UMR web site.

Content owners are responsible for the content of the web sub-sections shown. This will require cross-discipline coordination in most cases. Content owners may delegate content updates to other staff within their units, however the overall content of these sections remains the content owner’s responsibility.
