Work Study Employment

Opportunities are available for students granted a work study award in various offices within UMR.
Basic duties can include one or more of the following:

  1. Providing initial reception duties; i.e. greeting students and visitors, directing visitors to appropriate offices, directing students and faculty to classrooms, answering phones in the absence of support staff.
  2. Sorting and distributing incoming mail.
  3. Filing non-confidential materials
  4. Copying and faxing
  5. Keyboarding routine data entry
  6. Assisting with preparation of large mailing projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Frequent contact with UMR faculty, students and visitors requires a service-oriented attitude. At a minimum, elementary skills with word processing are required.
