Scholarship Inspires Student to Give Back

Julia Storberg-Walker

Dr. Storberg-Walker received her PhD in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota in 2004. Her dissertation was entitled “Towards a Theory of Human Capital TRANSFORMATION through Human Resource Development.” She has held positions at Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is currently an assistant professor in the Training and Development Program at North Carolina State University.

Dr. Storberg-Walker recently received the Blackboard Exemplary Course Award for her course “Organization and Operation of Training and Development Programs.” This award recognizes educational excellence in four categories: 1) course design; 2) interaction and collaboration; 3) assessment; and 4) learner support.

While on the UMR campus, Julia received the “Women Supporting Success through Education” scholarship. When asked to contribute to our scholarship alumni “Giving Back” award, Julia responded with gratitude.
