Student-Friendly Housing

The University of Minnesota Rochester is located in the heart of downtown Rochester and is integrated into the community. Students have the option to choose student-friendly housing, offering the amenities that are important to college students. Living in student-friendly housing also allows students to connect with one another socially and academically.

The following housing options are privately owned and students will be required to sign a lease with and pay rent directly to, the landlord of the property they choose. All options include:

1. A 9-month (academic year) lease.
2. Rental rates inclusive of all utilities (electricity, heat, water, cable, internet, trash).

Rates are for 2010-2011 and are subject to change.

Cost: Single Occupancy $520 per month (Double occupancy available at $360 per student per month).

Other Housing Options

In addition, UMR has partnered with Places4Students.com, an independent company that specializes in providing off-campus housing information for post-secondary students. This service is free for all students to use as an effective method of finding a place to live off-campus. Students can click here to view rental listings or to search for potential roommates. Select the interactive map, click on Minnesota, and select the University of Minnesota Rochester.
