We are the Office of Admissions for the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) and Bachelor of Science in Health Professions (BSHP) programs.

The Office of Admissions is located on the third floor of University Square. We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

College Search Tip: It's all about fit. At the end of the day, regardless of how prestigious a college says they are or how pretty their campus/brochures are, if you don't feel like comfortable, then it is not the school for you. You want to be in an environment that feels right because that is the environment where you will succeed and thrive.

Advice to high school students: Time management! It is an important lesson in college and it starts with the search process. Be sure to know what you need to do and especially when you need to do it by. You want to give yourself plenty of time to fill out the application, prepare for your exams and writing your personal essays.

Favorite Rochester restaurant: Ichi Tokyo

Favorite thing to do in Rochester: Thursdays on First. Good food, good music and lots to see and buy.

Favorite TV shows: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Flash, Veep.

Favorite sports team: Boston Strong! Die hard Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins fan.

What do you value most about UMR? I enjoy how close knit our campus community is. There is so much support whether you're a student, faculty, or staff member.

What are your hobbies? Golfing, reading, photography, playing music and the occasional Netflix binge.

Favorite things to do in Rochester: I enjoy seeing productions at the The Rochester Civic Theatre. In the past few years, they've done shows like: Mary Poppins, RENT, Catch Me If You Can and It's A Wonderful Life.

Favorite restaurant in Rochester: Pi Pizza. I'm addicted to their Buffalo Chicken wood-fired pizza.

What are your hobbies? I love spending time outdoors and being active. Some of my favorites are running, hiking and attending yoga classes. I also enjoy playing board games, cooking and spending time with my husband.

Favorite things to do in Rochester? Exploring the city by walking or biking and going to community events - Rochester has free movies in the park, free yoga and zumba at Peace Plaza and many free music events in the summertime.
