Commencement 2020

125 students received their degrees at the University of Minnesota Rochester’s (UMR) virtual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16.

Shanna Altrichter, MA, a sociology faculty member with UMR’s Center for Learning Innovation was named the faculty speaker. Altrichter has an undergraduate degree from Concordia College. She completed her Master’s degree at Baylor university. 

Student speakers included Samantha Kreps from Rochester, Minn. who received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree and Tamika Falkner of Bay City, Wis. who received her Bachelor of Science in Health Professions degree. Post graduation, Falkner plans to begin a full-time position as a radiologic technician and Kreps will begin a Masters of Nursing program at Rush University.
