University of Minnesota Rochester Recognized for Outstanding Student Support in Career Development

University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) has received a special accolade for its outstanding Career Development initiatives for undergraduate students. Already honored for its hands-on approach to education, the institution stands out for its breadth of resources aimed at its students’ success beyond graduation.

Earning a college degree greatly improves one’s ability to secure a job, and yet the process of entering the workforce is often a big challenge in itself. UMR’s Career Development award is a celebration of its commitment to helping students advance in their desired career. 

“UMR is doing important work to help its students thrive after graduation,” said Tyson Schritter, Chief Operating Officer at Colleges of Distinction. “The job market can be intimidating, but this school’s resources and support services gives students an advantage in whatever field they pursue.” The Career Development award is given to a school with consideration of the following resources:

• Accessible Programs and Training
• Dedicated Student Success Coaches
