April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Authored By: wells438 04/01/2025April is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This year’s theme, "Together We Act, United We Change," underscores the power of collective action in preventing sexual abuse, assault and harassment. Education is key to driving change and equipping communities with the knowledge and tools to be part of the solution.
All month long, UMR’s Office of Student Wellbeing, Rochester for Reproductive Freedom (RRF) and Student Leaders Against Sexual Harassment (SLASHR) will examine how sexual assault impacts different spaces and communities, focusing on ways to strengthen prevention and intervention efforts to address this global issue.
Participate in this month’s events and initiatives to raise awareness, support survivors and promote the prevention of sexual violence.
