What’s Next for Melanie Lor?

Celebrating UMR’s graduating class of 2025! Meet Melanie, a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions graduate working as a MRI Technologist at Fairview in Minneapolis.

What was your favorite part of your years at UMR?

The diverse communities that UMR students are part of and the diverse community that UMR is in! I loved seeing so many different people of different walks of life. I especially loved being with my fellow students to learn about their cultures, religions, their medical beliefs, and how all of these factors contributed to their journey to UMR.

What are you most looking forward to post graduation?

Being able to bring my knowledge and experience to all the patients I came across with compassion and empathy.

What advice would you give incoming students?

Have a good group of friends, stay focused on the end goal, and always ask questions!
