Located in the heart of Med City, the residence halls at the University of Minnesota Rochester include the Student Life Center, 318 Commons and Residence at Discovery Square. All are ideal living learning environments for emerging health care professionals.
First & Second Year Students Live-On Campus:
In alignment with UMN Rochester’s grounding value of “evidence based decision making,” significant evidence clearly shows students are more successful if they live on campus during their first and second years of college. Because student success is a top priority, UMN Rochester requires all first- and second-year students to live in University approved on-campus housing. Students in their 3+ years at UMN Rochester are welcomed but not required to live on campus.
