The JustAsk stations were another huge draw to campus as the professors are so accessible when anyone is in need of their help. Finally, I chose to attend UMR because of the Mayo Clinic's 3+2 Physician Assistant Program as it allows me to be on track academically to start a PA career in the following years.

Why I came to UMR: I liked the campus size, the community and the emphasis on health care.

Favorite place to eat in Rochester: The best place to eat in Rochester is Newt's. It's a good place for a quick bite (especially at Newt's express) and they have a killer Mac and cheese sandwich!

Favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is the third floor lounge because there's natural light from the atrium, there are plenty of resources nearby (the library, JustAsk, mediascapes, etc.) and there's always something interesting there (therapy dogs, information booths, free food, etc.).

Favorite UMR Memory: My favorite UMR memory is from finals week my first semester. It seems strange, but it's true. I remember hanging out with friends on the third-floor lounge. We were studying for our various finals and eating food from the food-for-finals table. It was comforting to know that we were all in the same situation; we were all preparing for the same exams. We had a greater sense of community and that togetherness was the greatest feeling of all. Finals are stressful, but by studying together, we were able to forget that and have a little fun.
