Study Away from Rochester

Brett Schieve

Studying away can be one of the most rewarding experiences a student engages in during their academic career. By studying away, students can enrich their academic focus by having access to courses not offered at UMR, can improve or learn another language, meet new people, enhance their resume, learn to think globally, and grow as an individual and professional!

As the Director of Intercultural Learning and Engagement located in the Admissions Hallway, I am here to help see your goals to fruition! I understand that studying away can be a lot of hard work and the process can be confusing and complex. There are many factors to consider when deciding a program. No matter where you are in the process of planning to study away, please email me to set up an appointment to talk about your options and goals.UMR students have opportunities to study throughout the United States as part of the National Student Exchange, as well as programs offered through the Learning Abroad Center at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.
