The Kettle 2025

The sixth edition of The Kettle, UMR’s alumni magazine, is now available. Amidst the backdrop of a rapidly changing world, The Kettle connects UMR graduates, showcases their achievements and highlights their growing impact on solving the grand health challenges of the 21st century. This edition features Raptor alumni making an impact, including the founders of Rochester Air Network and a graduate leading a creative arts initiative that supports mental health among East African immigrant youth. It also highlights a physician assistant alum who accelerated her education through a Get Forward Faster program and studied away, and a bioinformatics and computational biology student who finds inspiration in Rochester’s skyways. The issue includes stories of committed donors, such as the Shannons, whose lifelong dedication to education continues to shape UMR’s future, and a faculty member driving educational innovation.
