The co-DGSs will appoint the committee members based on nominations received and input from existing committee members. The make up of the committee will include one faculty member from the Mayo Clinic, one faculty member representing a department outside of the College of Science and Engineering, one faculty member representing a department within the College of Science and Engineering, and one BICB student member. The student member will either be the standing or former BICB COGS representative. Each member of the committee will serve a term of 3 years. Membership on the committee may be renewed.

The role of the advisory committee will be to provide input on graduate education and student experiences in the BICB program. Meetings of the committee may be called by any member of the committee or the co-DGSs.
