April is Sexual Assault Awarenss and Prevention Month (SAAPM). UMR's SAAPM committee's overarching theme for this month is “Red Flags & Gray Spaces: Recognizing Warning Signs” Throughout April, UMR's SAAPM committee will be exploring the red flags and gray spaces of sexual violence, how these flags manifest in diverse communities and focusing on ways to elevate and evolve prevention and intervention efforts to address the gray spaces of gender based violence.

April 27: Denim Day, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wear denim and join in conversation about sexual violence prevention. Food provided.
April 28: The Planned Parenthood X CLI and SOC UMR collaboration panel on Undergraduate Research Experiences
Reproductive and Sexual Health Research, Reflexivity, and Action Perspectives
from undergraduate researchers in the health sciences, 5 - 6:30 p.m., USquare 415 or Zoom.
April 29: Reproductive Health Interactive Performance Event: Revenge is Best Served Cold, 5:30 - 7 p.m., One Discovery Square.
UMR students and audience members will be invited to take part in a SOC 4571 participatory theater production. We will explore the dangers of revenge porn in an engaging and transformative space. Email amejiame@r.umn.edu for more info
