What’s Next for Destiny Regalia?

What are your post graduation plans?

I am moving to Jacksonville Florida next month for Mayo Clinic PREP (Post-baccalaureate Research Experience Program) as a gap year then graduate school for a PhD in medicinal chemistry.

What was your favorite part of your years at UMR?

Small class sizes provide an intimate setting to truly get to know your peers and professors. You can build such meaningful relationships with professors because they truly care about you and want to see you succeed.

What advice would you give incoming students?

Don’t worry what other people think of you; feel free to be yourself. Try research, you never know -  you might like it. Don’t be scared to talk to professors, you can build very strong relationships with them which is great for mentorship and connections.
