Join the University of Minnesota Rochester from November 6-10 as we celebrate the presence and experience of first-generation college students, faculty and staff on campus! Educate yourself about the experiences of first-generation college students and how those impact their academic journey.

First-Gen Lunch & Learn

Monday, November 6

12:15-1:45 p.m. - USquare 322

First-generation students are invited to this casual conversation to gain tips and advice from other UMR students who have created success through navigating their own first-gen journey. Lunch will be provided. RSVP not required, but appreciated. 

First-Gen Meetup

Tuesday, November 7

6-6:30 p.m. - USquare 397

Stop by for cider and cookies and meet other first-gen students on campus. Stay afterward to join an artistic program with musician Annie Mack!

1-3 p.m. - USquare 3rd floor

Take a selfie with Rockie (1-2 p.m.), receive a free t-shirt for first-gen students and grads and take a first-gen quiz to win a prize!
