What’s Next for Aliah Lymon?

Celebrating UMR’s graduating class of 2024! Meet Aliah, a BSHS graduate attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center physician assistant program in fall 2024. 

What are your post graduation plans? 

Attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center Physician Assistant Program starting August 2024.

What was your favorite part of your years at UMR?

My favorite part about UMR were the opportunities that allowed me to grow personally and professionally. I was able to create meaningful relationships with faculty and peers that helped me excel while I was in school. Aside from relationships, my favorite experience was studying abroad! I was able to spend about 2.5 weeks in Quito, Ecuador where I was able to shadow in hospitals.

What are you most looking forward to post graduation?

I am looking forward to putting all of my new skills to use as I attend graduate school. It's so amazing to see how my hard work at UMR paid off and helped prepare me for my next steps.

What advice would you give incoming students?

Never be afraid to fail or ask questions. You learn the most from these experiences and they help push you to continue to work hard and excel in your field.
