What’s Next for Joseph Rezents?

Celebrating our graduating class of 2023! Meet Joseph, A BSHS graduate entering the PharmD program at UMN Twin Cities College of Pharmacy next fall.  

What are your post graduation plans?

I will be attending the PharmD program, UMN Twin Cities College of Pharmacy starting this fall.

What was your favorite part of your years at UMR?

My favorite part of my time at UMR was returning to campus in  fall 2021 when COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Although I managed to maintain my grades during online school, I struggled to cope with seemingly endless hours staring at my computer screen and sitting through Zoom classes. Having in-person classes again was very encouraging and I was able to enjoy learning much more.

What are you most looking forward to post graduation?

After graduation, I hope to be able to take some time over the summer for self care and preparing for pharmacy school in the fall. I have learned so much about myself and others during my time at UMR and I feel grateful to have succeeded in the first chapter of my college journey.

What advice would you give incoming students?

My advice to incoming students is to find purpose,motivation and passion within you to pursue an education in the medical field and use it to remind yourself every time you are faced with challenges (there will be many). Dedication and hard work is the key to success, and don't forget to take care of your own health while chasing your dreams!
