Food Resources

UMR supports the following food resources:

UMR Food Pantry
Located on the first floor of 318 Commons, the UMR Food Pantry is made possible through donations from the Channel One Food Bank of Rochester and the People's Food Co-Op.

Donated items range from basic kitchen essentials to personal hygiene products and are available to all UMR students, faculty and staff throughout the year.

Food Pantry hours (subject to change):

    • Fall and spring semester: weekdays from noon to 10 p.m.
    • Summer: weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Take and Heat Meals - Kitchen Coalition

The University of Minnesota Rochester also partners with Kitchen Coalition, a program of Channel One Food Bank, to offer free, freshly-prepared meals in addition to the Food Pantry items. These take-and-heat meals can be picked up at the Food Pantry at 318 Commons. New deliveries occur every Tuesday between 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
