Study Away

"Going on exchange was the definite highlight of my undergraduate career. Not only could I challenge my comfort zone by moving to a place quite different than what I was accustomed to, I was able to fill my time with exciting courses and new opportunities that allowed me to build a skill set for living a well-rounded lifestyle. The memories and friendships I made are among the best I have had, and will cherish the experience for the rest of my life." - Alex, UMR Alumna

Studying away can be one of the most rewarding experiences a student engages in during their academic career.

Studying away enables students to enrich their academic focus by having access to courses not offered at UMR.

Students are able to improve or learn another language, meet new people, enhance their resume, learn to think globally and grow as an individual and professional. UMR students have opportunities to study throughout the United States as part of the National Student Exchange and to study outside of the United States with programs offered through the Learning Abroad Center at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
