Exceptions will not be granted for students who claim they were not aware of the requirements. Please ensure you thoroughly read each requirement.

• eRezLife is a web-based platform used by the Office of Residential Life to manage on-campus housing. Both prospective and current students can log into eRezLife using their University single sign-on credentials.

Step 1: complete the housing application & housing contract

Step 2: pay the non-refundable housing application fee

Step 3: search for and select a roommate(s), optional

Step 4: housing assignments

• Returning students are able to select a housing assignment during the room lottery process.

• First year, transfer and PSEO students will be manually assigned to housing by Residential Life.

• The Summer 2025 Housing Application will be open on eRezLife from February 3 - April 15, 2025. 
• UMR students are not required to be registered for summer courses to reside in University housing during the summer term.
• There are 3 summer housing sessions available (see chart below).
• All students assigned to and living in the Student Life Center are required to be on a Raptor Eats meal plan unless a student meets an exemption criteria and receives approval from the Disability Resource Center or the Office of Residential Life.

Residential Life is devoted to providing a safe living and learning environment where all students feel a sense of belonging and are supported. Gender inclusive housing is an option that allows students to live with someone of any gender. UMR welcomes, appreciates and values all identities of students. Gender inclusive housing is intended to meet the needs of transgender, gender non-conforming, nonbinary and 2SLGBTQIA+ students by providing a space that is inclusive, safe and comfortable. 

Gender inclusive housing is open to all students and its purpose is to create meaningful safe spaces for marginal identities. ***This is not an option for students in intimate relationships.*** There is no additional cost to live in a gender inclusive room and students will only be assigned to a gender inclusive apartment/room if they select this option in the housing application.

Individuals that apply for housing after the deadline or fail to complete a step by the deadline will be placed on a waitlist and will receive their housing assignment later than those who apply by the deadline.
