About the Program
This one-year Capstone experience is offered in collaboration with Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS).
Cytotechnology is, according to the Mayo Clinic website, "the microscopic study of cells in order to detect cancer and other abnormal conditions." Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate from MCSHS which allows them to take the professional certification examination.
Application to the program is competitive and requires completion of a variety of prerequisite courses, minimum GPA standards and an interview. Review the Cytotechnologist planning guide to prepare for this accelerated program.
Visit the MCSHS Cytotechnology website to learn more about the program, application process, costs and career opportunities.
