Radiation Therapy

About the Program

This one-year Capstone experience is offered in educational collaboration with Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS).

Radiation Therapy is driven by a growing aging population and rapid advances in treatment technology, which require skilled professionals to precisely administer complex radiation doses as essential members of a multidisciplinary cancer care team. The program prepares students to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate from MCSHS and complete their UMN Rochester Capstone requirements.

Application to the program is competitive and requires completion of a variety of prerequisite courses, minimum GPA standards and an interview. Review the Radiation Therapy planning guide to prepare for this accelerated program.

Visit the MCSHS Radiation Therapy website to learn more about the program, application process, costs and career opportunities.
