Final Official Transcripts and Scores
Students are admitted to the University of Minnesota based on the information they report in their admission application. All self‑reported information used in admission decisions is verified against official grades and test scores before enrollment. This page outlines the University of Minnesota Rochester Office of Admissions policy for submitting final official high school and, if applicable, college transcripts.
Because strong academic preparation through the senior year of high school increases the likelihood of academic success, the University of Minnesota Rochester requires students to meet the following conditions before they are eligible to enroll:
- Graduate from high school or earn a GED or the equivalent before fall semester begins.
- Successfully complete the courses listed on their application as “to be completed during the senior year.”
- Submit official English proficiency test scores if applicable for students who completed secondary education outside the United States.
To verify that students have met these enrollment requirements, they must have their official final high school transcript, including the date of graduation, and any applicable college transcripts submitted to the Office of Admissions by the July 1 deadline.
Unsuccessful completion of senior year coursework or a significant decline in academic performance may result in reconsideration of the admission decision and could lead to cancellation of admission. Information found to be fraudulent will result in revocation of admission.

High School Transcripts
High school refers to secondary school prior to college or university. High school transcripts must include the graduation date and be sent directly from the high school guidance counselor or through an official electronic service to the UMR Office of Admissions.
High school students who took or are taking postsecondary courses, including dual enrollment, PSEO or College in the Schools, must also submit transcripts from the college or university that granted the credit. These transcripts must be sent directly from the institution. A high school transcript alone is not sufficient to transfer credit. AP or IB courses are considered high school credit.
Official AP scores may be submitted through College Board. Official IB transcripts may be submitted through the Request for Results Service.
Undergraduate Transcripts
Undergraduate transcripts are required from colleges or universities where students are earning their first degree, including associate and bachelor degrees. Students with coursework from other University of Minnesota campuses — Crookston, Duluth, Morris and Twin Cities — do not need to order a transcript.
Graduate Transcripts
Graduate transcripts are required from colleges or universities where students are earning an advanced degree after completing a bachelor degree, including master and doctoral programs.
