University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) alum Amy Romanauski says the university’s close-knit community and strong faculty support set the foundation for her path into medical sociology.

Rachel Okeleye chose the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) for its tight‑knit learning environment and access to Mayo Clinic. As someone who values close relationships, Rachel appreciated the small classes, which allowed her to thrive and  UMR’s close proximity to Mayo Clinic helped her gain high‑quality experiences, resources and connections as a pre‑med student.

As a nontraditional student returning to school for a career change, Rosanna Smith ’24 was drawn to the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) because of its partnership with Mayo Clinic—specifically, its nuclear medicine technologist pathway.
